Here I am on a beautiful winter morning looking at the quiet bay of the North Chanel of Lake Huron, and notice the start of ice forming on its surface. It is peaceful quiet and beautiful. I still see the night lights on the other side of the water in Gore Bay and the sun starting to light the sky.
The snow is white and pristine other than the deer prints that can be found here and there. On this winter morning 14 days before Christmas, the Inn is quiet!
We are expecting guests next week and hope the Inn will come alive during the Holiday Season with the buzz of voices and families coming together!
Winter is a beautiful and reflective time on the island! You can enjoy the simple things out of life such as, feel the breeze on your face, enjoy the ever changing landscape and after a nice walk, it is always wonderful to come indoors to a beautiful fire and cocoa.
